A Satellite Orbiting The Earth Could Someday Prevent A Car Accident
Ford Motor Company and Auburn University have partnered in a research project designed to have global positioning system (GPS) satellites talk to cars to avoid accidents. The idea is that the satellite would detect when a vehicle is about to lose control and communicate with the vehicles stability control systems and other safety features to prevent a rollover or other types of accidents. You cant buy this yet. The research is in its early stages. A next step is to build prototypical vehicles for testing. Read this article to learn more.
